Greetings, Ms. Wuerflein. I hope this message finds you well. As an advisor for your campaign, I am responsible for assisting you in taking stances on the various issues in the world. Thus, I would suggest you look into gun control laws.
Gun control is a thing that the US has been a problem in the US. Many laws have been made to protect people, and make sure that the second amendment is followed. I think the best thing to do about the fact that people still use guns to attack others is put trackers on guns. Trackers should be used so that the US can see where a gun was at a certain time, to check what guns were present in a crime scene, and who owned them. The tracking should have a limit, because if every gun had a tracker, then the US would be unable to have FBI agents go undercover. Another reason using trackers would be helpful is because then it would let the US know if guns were passed between people illegally, such as between family members, friends, or at gun shows. This would prevent guns from going into someone else’s hands illegally, or without a background check.
Why not just get rid of guns entirely? Because guns aren’t useless. They are used defensively 300,000-2,000,000 times a year, which may not sound like a lot, but I think it is. Besides, if we banned guns, undercover FBI agents can’t get through security. Banning guns is not a good idea, because there would still be ways to get guns, such as with the dark web. If we removed guns from the US, then people would be defenseless against the people who illegally get guns.
