As an advisor of Wuerflein's campaign, I would like to suggest looking into the Hong Kong protests.
In recent years, there have been a series of protests all across the Hong Kong territory, as a result of mainland China’s attempts to absorb the territory as part of the mainland. Currently, Hong Kong is much freer than China. Its economy is much less restrictive and the territory is heavily based on democracy, thanks to the results of Britain’s long feud with China centuries ago. Hong Kong was largely free afterwards, but China has attempted several times to bring Hong Kong under full control. As a result, the protests started, the most recent of which were in 2019. Protests eventually died down after a law was passed restricting them, making anyone involved in the protests an outlaw.
Because of this, I suggest that you lobby to provide asylum to any and all protesters who manage to make it out of Hong Kong safely. All protesters would be accepted if they are evidently protesters, and the regular limit for accepted refugees or asylees would be lifted in the case of these protesters.
I believe you should do this because such a system would rescue many people from danger under an oppressive and tyrannical government. China has also not been very popular recently, not only with this issue but also with the Uighur Muslim camps. Responding to China’s violations of human rights would simply save lives and would show to both voters and the rest of the world that the US does not stand for China’s actions.
