Hi, my name is Eli Addink, and I'm running with Cadence as vice president. My childhood is mostly classified, but here is what I have permission to say…
I got to hunt in British Columbia, but then moved to Colorado where I witnessed (though I didn’t tell anyone right away) a gun wielding man shoot another unarmed clerk. The event scared me, but I found a friend (when I joined the military) who helped me recover from it, influencing some of the policies that I want to make. I went to college, where I got a master’s degree in economics and public health by the time I was 22. My past has made me believe that there should be second chances and less gun control. I single handedly wrote letters to China about helping the people in Hong Kong, but they didn’t pay much attention to it. Well, I guess double handedly, because I am ambidextrous. Now’s a good time to talk about my family. My mother was a hardworking housekeeper. My dad was a well known Canadian hunter, and he knew the wells also. Actually, he was a farmer in Canada. I helped my dad farm when I had time, and when I got old enough, I farmed for others. I never spent a dime until I was 20, and since I had invested, the money increased to almost 3,000 dollars (from 1,200). After college, with the money from investing and a bit of my own, I started a rehabilitation center for recovering alcoholics. After college, I got married and had 3 kids. All of my kids have helped volunteer at the nonprofit I started, and my wife is a major contributor to the program. I would be a good fit for office because I am hard working, have good policies, and I have years of working in the [REDACTED] and in the military. |
